Hello! I’m Peter Hall, the driving force behind this enterprise. As I proudly celebrate the eighth year of my mobile interior car detailing company, I bring a deep passion for my work and a wealth of experience. This is my third venture into the cleaning business, and with a combined 19 years of experience, I am dedicated to delivering outstanding service and ensuring every client’s satisfaction. Welcome to a journey built on professionalism, commitment, and extensive hands-on expertise in the industry. I look forward to serving you with the same dedication that has shaped my business from the ground up.
Our $4,000 Portable Steam Cleaning Machine is a game-changer in professional cleaning. Designed for optimal performance, it requires the power of two separate circuits, each drawing 13 Amps. One circuit powers the machine, while the other operates a high-performance 1500-Watt inline water heater.
This innovative setup rapidly increases the temperature of hot tap water to near-boiling levels, ensuring maximum cleaning efficiency. With its powerful steam capabilities, this machine combines cutting-edge technology with unmatched effectiveness, delivering exceptional results every time.
Previous Cleaning & Detailing History
These photos showcase my second Steam Cleaning and Mobile Auto Detailing business, which I owned and operated in Calgary from 1995 to 2002. Pictured on the left is my older brother, and that’s me on the right, with our father behind the camera. Shortly after these photos were taken, I rebranded the business as ‘Detail Masters’ to reflect my focus on providing specialized vehicle detailing services
I came across an old flyer I used to distribute by placing it on car windshields. Amazingly, I’d often get calls for my services the very next day from the same area where I’d left them. At the time, this was my most effective advertising method—how times have changed! With my van-mounted steam cleaning machine, I used to detail 24 to 30 vehicles per week all by myself. These days, as I’ve grown older, and vehicles have grown larger and more complex I now personally detail around 10 to 12 vehicles per week.
We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Detail Center in September 2025! Conveniently located in the Marriott Hotel in Calgary’s SE community of Seton, it’s just one block west and across the street from the city’s largest building, the massive South Health Campus Hospital. Our Detail Center will be situated in the underground heated parking lot of The Marriott Hotel, providing comfort and convenience year-round. Even with this exciting expansion, we’ll continue to offer our trusted mobile services year-round. This growth allows us better to serve you with enhanced services and even greater flexibility. Stay tuned—we can’t wait to welcome you!
Our Building Permit has already been approved by the City of Calgary, and we’re excited to bring this vision to life.
After seven years with my current mobile service, and having successfully run two Mobile Auto Detail Cleaning Businesses and one Carpet & Upholstery Steam Cleaning Business, it’s time to take the next step in growing my business. This expansion has been a long time coming, and I’m proud to see it moving forward. The investment for the required infrastructure upgrades is over $50,000, and I am personally funding the entire project. While this means the process is taking a little longer than expected, progress is steadily underway, and I’m excited about what’s to come!
The Journey to Our New Detailing Bay at The Marriott Hotel, Seton
In late 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I opened a detailing bay at The Marriott Hotel in Seton, located in SE Calgary. Unfortunately, when I updated my business license to include this location, I was informed by the City of Calgary that the hotel’s parking lot did not have the necessary permit to operate a detailing center. Two days later, the city shut down my operation. This was incredibly frustrating, especially after I had spent six months negotiating with the hotel to make this partnership a reality.
Fast forward to Spring 2023, I reached out to the hotel manager once again to inquire whether they would be open to allowing me to operate if I applied for a Development Permit. He gave me a resounding “Yes.” Encouraged by this response, I began the process of applying for the necessary permits and approvals, which has taken considerable time and effort.
As of December 2024, I’ve successfully received my Building Permit and have started essential infrastructure upgrades, including electrical and ventilation improvements. However, due to the City of Calgary’s limited support for businesses in the public sector, I had to hire an engineering firm to liaise with the city and ensure all requirements were met. This process has been both time-consuming and costly, with expenses approaching $50,000. But I am confident that these investments will pay off in the long run.
Once the upgrades are completed, I will be ready to expand my business. This location will feature two detailing bays, similar to the one shown in the image, as well as two mobile service vehicles equipped with van-mounted steam cleaning machines. Over time, I plan to increase capacity by adding more detailing bays and mobile units. The space at the hotel allows for the potential expansion of up to five additional bays when demand grows, along with the expansion of my mobile service fleet.
With 18 years of experience in the detailing and steam cleaning business—14 of which were spent running my own Mobile Detailing Service—I am excited about the future. This new location will enable me to serve more customers and continue to grow my business.
